Appeal for information after cash machine stolen in Stonehouse

 

Police are investigating a burglary in Stonehouse in which a cash machine was stolen and officers are appealing for information from the public to help trace the offenders.

Shortly after 3am today, Thursday 7 September, a member of the public reported the incident at Wynn’s Coffee Shop in High Street.

The offenders are believed to have reversed a dark coloured vehicle up to the shop and smashed a window with a large piece of wood which was sticking out of the back before entering the property and stealing the cash machine.

Nothing else was stolen from the cafe.

The offenders are believed to be two men, one wearing a dark coloured hoodie and light trousers.

Officers investigating the incident are viewing CCTV footage and making local enquiries, but would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in Stonehouse or saw the vehicle as it made off from the scene.
