Appeal after man absconds from HMP Leyhill

 

Police are appealing for help to find Keith Whitehouse, aged 56, who has absconded from HMP Leyhill in South Gloucestershire.

He was last seen at 4.45pm last night (Saturday) and failed to appear for the roll call held at 8.15pm.

Gloucestershire Constabulary received a report that a man matching his description was spotted on the side of the A38 between Claypits and Slimbridge.

Anyone who sees him should not approach him, but call 999 and quote incident 23 of 18 February.

He is described as a white man, 6ft 5ins tall of slim build with short grey hair, grey moustache and a goatee style beard. He has an eagle tattoo on his left arm and a leopard on his right arm.

He has links with the West Midlands and Brighton.

Keith Whitehouse is currently serving a life sentence for manslaughter, committed in 1991, when he was given a home release from prison. At the time he was serving a sentence for kidnap.
