Appeal after man robbed of his bike at knife point in Gloucester

 

Officers in Gloucester are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was robbed of his bike at knife point last night.

Shortly after 7pm a man was cycling home when he was approached by two men on bikes and chased onto a field opposite the Crypt School, next to the basketball court.

One of the offenders kicked the bike, causing the victim to jump off before a knife was pulled on him.

When the victim said he would contact police the offender dropped the knife and threw a punch at the victim.

The victim managed to run to a nearby house and the offenders were last seen on Podsmead Road, heading towards Tuffley Avenue.

One offender is described as white, around 17 to 18-years-old, small in height, and wearing a grey baseball cap with a grey top which had a symbol on it.

The second offender is described as black or mixed race, 17 to 18-years-old, taller than the first offender, and wearing all black clothing.

The bike is described as red and black with no brakes and a rear tyre which is thinner than the front tyre.
