Appeal after woman sexually assaulted on train

British Transport Polce are appealing for information after a woman was sexually touched on a train from Cheltenham Spa to Cardiff Central Railway station.
The incident happened on 28 March between 10am and 10.25am.
A woman boarded the train service at 9am. A man sat next to the woman, despite there being plenty of seats on the carriage.
The man was fidgety throughout the journey and as the train departed Chepstow the man with his left hand in his trouser pocket began to rub the woman’s leg.
He continually kept touching her despite the woman trying to move further away from him and towards the window.
During the journey the woman asked the man to move to another part of the train.
Both the victim and the man alighted the service at Cardiff Central station.
Investigating officer PC Craig Farrell said: “I am keen to speak to the man in the CCTV image as I believe he has information that could help with the investigation. I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have been travelling on the service at the time stated and who may have seen a man acting in an inappropriate manner.”
Anyone with any information should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 citing reference 377 11/05/17.
