Applications invited for Community Safety Grants

Local organisations and community groups are invited to apply for one-off funding from the Forest of Dean Community Safety Partnership (CSP) to reduce crime and the fear of crime in the district.

The 2017/18 Community Safety Partnership grants have been made available by the Police and Crime Commissioner to promote and support community safety projects.

Not for profit voluntary and community groups – both constituted and non-constituted – are welcome to apply.

Constituted groups can apply for up to the maximum grant available of £7,300 and non-constituted groups can apply for up to £500.

Councillor Paul Kay, Chairman of the Forest of Dean Community Safety Partnership (CSP) said: “The Police Crime Commissioner and the Community Safety Partnership look forward to receiving applications from groups that can demonstrate creative ways to embed community safety into the local area.

“We are particularly keen to receive applications from small informal groups who carry out lots of important work for the benefit of residents and businesses in the district.”

Application packs are available to download from the ‘Community grants & funding’ page in the ‘Communities’ section of the Council’s website or alternatively, call the Community Engagement Team on 01594 810000.

The grants will remain open for applications until all of the funding has been allocated.
