CCTV released following knife-point robbery in Cheltenham

Officers appealing for information about a knife-point robbery in Cheltenham have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to.

On Friday 19 May a man with a 6″ knife walked into JDL Hydroponics in The Runnings at the Kingsditch industrial estate in Cheltenham.

He was abusive and threatening, claiming that he’d been sent to collect a debt and demanded to be paid £1,200.

The member of staff working there at the time had no idea what the man was talking about.

The offender then went behind the counter and helped himself to several thousand pounds from a cash tin.

He then left the premises just before 5pm, leaving the staff member very shaken and upset.

The suspect spoke with a Birmingham accent and is described as being of mixed race with a shaven head.

Anyone who recognises this man, or anyone with information, is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 345 of 19/5/17.
