Council unites with partners to support Dementia Awareness Week


Forest of Dean District Council in partnership with the Forest of Dean Dementia Alliance has organised a series of events in the District in support of Dementia Awareness Week, which runs from Monday 21 to Sunday 27 May.

Over 11 days, members of the Alliance will be visiting various locations across the district chatting to residents and providing information about dementia and the support available for people living with condition.

The events will run as follows:

Tuesday 22 May         9.30am – 7.00pm        Tesco, Lydney
Wednesday 23 May    9.30am – 3.30pm        Info Bus, Prince of Wales, Staunton
Thursday 24 May        2.30pm – 4.30pm        Sedbury Space
Thursday 24 May        10.00am – 3.00pm      Tesco, Chepstow
Thursday 24 May        9.30am – 5.00pm        Orchard Trust, Upper Stowfield, Lydbrook
Friday 25 May             9.30am – 3.30pm        Info Bus, Newent Market House
Friday 25 May             9.30am – 3.30pm        Tesco, Lydney
Tuesday 29 May         9.30am – 3.30pm        Info Bus, Co-op, Cinderford
Wednesday 30 May    10.00am – 3.00pm      Info Bus, Lydney Fun Day, Bathurst Park
Thursday 31 May        9.30am – 3.00pm        Westbury Court Care Home, Westbury-on-Severn
Friday 1 June              9.30am – 3.30pm        Info Bus, Beechenhurst
