Developers sought for prime Longlevens site

 

Developers are being sought for a 14 acre site at the former Bishops College in Gloucester.

The brownfield site around a mile north of the city centre has outline permission for 90 homes subject to a Section 106 agreement and has already generated interest.

Bruton Knowles are marketing the development site on behalf of Gloucestershire City Council.

Robert Anthony from Bruton Knowles said the site in the Longlevens area of the city and is mainly residential.

The Plock Court playing fields, Oxtalls Tennis Centre and main Oxtalls University of Gloucester campus are also nearby.

Robert Anthony said: “This is a well-known site in Gloucester and all development will be on the built up area, replacing old school buildings. There is still going to be lots of green space.

“The site includes playing fields which will be retained as public open space as part of the Section 106.”

Eight of the 90 homes planned will be affordable.

The deadline for bids is noon on Thursday, August 10.
