Diamond ring stolen from Cheltenham jewellery shop


Officers investigating the theft of a diamond ring from a jewellery shop in Cheltenham  on Saturday afternoon, 10 June, have released a CCTV image of a man who they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

The theft occurred shortly before 2pm when a man entered the store and said that he wanted to buy a diamond ring.

After being shown a number of different style he picked up an 18 carat gold diamond solitaire ring and left the shop without paying.

He was challenged by staff but managed to overpower them, causing minor injuries to one, and left the scene in the direction of Grosvenor Street where he is believed to have got into a waiting black Ford Focus.

Anyone who recognises the man in the image, of has any information about the incident is asked to call Gloucestershire Police on 101 quoting incident 258 of 10/6/17.
