Dickinson’s Real Deal heading to Cheltenham Racecourse

ITV’s Dickinson’s Real Deal is heading to Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday, July 22 and members of the public will have the opportunity to find out the value of their old family heirlooms and antiques from presenter David Dickinson and his team of dealers.

The popular daytime ITV1 show is regularly watched by more than one million viewers and is now in its 14th series.

Dickinson and his dealers visit Cheltenham in search of more bobby dazzlers, brought in by members of the public who are looking to sell antiques gathering dust in the loft for cash.

People on the show can then take cash on the spot from the dealers or take their items to auction.

‘Cheap as chips’ presenter Dickinson and the Real Deal team of independent valuers will be on hand to offer advice on all items brought along, before the seller makes their final decision.

David Dickinson said: “It’s great to bring the show to Cheltenham Racecourse! People of Cheltenham and the surrounding area come along and get the Real Deal.

“I’m very much looking forward to visiting Cheltenham. It is an area of the country I love bringing the show to.   I remember visiting the area several times; the items brought in were fantastic – great quality – with fabulous history and stories attached.”

Lee Moulson, Regional Head of Sales at Cheltenham Racecourse, added: “We’re looking forward to welcoming David Dickinson and his team to the racecourse to film one of the nation’s most popular TV shows.

“Hopefully we will see some fantastic items brought along and uncover some real antique gems in the region. We’re encouraging local people from across the area to come down and join us on the day – and maybe make a little bit of cash in the process.”

There is no need to book a ticket or register for the event on Saturday, July 22.  Admission to the racecourse for the event is free, with members of the public asked only to bring along their antiques and collectables.

Gates open on the day from 8am and close at 5pm. For more information visit www.cheltenham.co.uk
