Durham Cathedral’s Daniel Cook to close the Gloucester Cathedral Evening Organ Recital Series 2017

Daniel Cook will close the 2017 Gloucester Cathedral Evening Organ Recital Series on Wednesday 11 October at 7.30pm.

Daniel is Master of the Choristers and Organist of Durham Cathedral and is recognised internationally as a liturgical and concert organist of the highest order.  In addition he is Artistic Director of Mousai, Curator of JAM on the Marsh, and maintains a busy schedule of recitals, concerts and recordings, both as performer and producer, as well as being in demand as a conductor, teacher and singer.

Daniel’s programme will include music from some of the greatest composers: Dietrich Buxtehude, Johann Sebastian Bach, William Harris, Jean Langlais and Louis Vierne.

All are welcome to join us at 6.45pm at the West End of the Cathedral Nave for a pre-concert drink to mark the end of our hugely successful 2017 series and then hear Daniel bring the Cathedral’s majestic organ to life. Admission is free with a retiring collection in aid of Cathedral Music

Gloucester Cathedral has a full programme of year round organ recitals, details of which can be found on our website at www.gloucestercathedral.org.uk
