Elderly woman pushed during burglary

Police in Cheltenham are investigating a burglary which happened in Red Rower Close on Wednesday.

At about 2.15pm a brick was thrown through a window before an offender entered the house where he was met by the elderly resident.

He told her that he was a police man and pushed her into a chair

An untidy search was carried out upstairs, but it does not appear that anything was stolen.

The woman was not physically injured during the incident but very shaken by it.

The offender is described as a white man, aged about 20 and with a thin face. He was wearing a jacket and a beige cap.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw anyone behaving suspiciously.
