Images released after knifepoint robbery in Gloucester

 

Police investigating a knifepoint robbery in Gloucester last night have released CCTV images in the hope of identifying the offender.

The incident happened at McColl’s newsagent in Askwith Road and was reported just before 8pm yesterday, Thursday 14 December.

A man entered the shop, threatened staff with a knife and made off with cash and cigarettes which he put in a black holdall.

No one was injured, but staff members were very shaken.

The offender is described as a white man in his mid-twenties and about 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing a dark coat with the hood up, and a black face covering.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the man either entering or leaving the shop, or recognises him from the photograph.
