Man charged following hoax bomb calls


Following a cross border operation between Gloucestershire and Avon and Somerset Constabularies, a 56-year-old man has been charged in connection with four bomb hoaxes, including one at Bath bus station.

Peter Osbourne, of no fixed address, has been charged with four counts of making hoax bomb calls.

The charges relate to hoax calls made on Wednesday (May 24) about Bath bus station and the Bristol Royal Infirmary, as well as further hoaxes referring to Weymouth sea front in Dorset and Wiltshire Police Headquarters.

He’s due to appear at Bath Magistrates’ Court this morning (May 26).
