Neighbourhood Development Plans made by Forest of Dean Council

Two new Neighbourhood Development Plans have been formally made and now make up part of the Development Plan for the Forest of Dean area, following a referendum where the majority of residents that took part voted to approve them.

  • 82% of the 446 residents who took part in the referendum voted in favour of the Berry Hill, Christchurch and Edge End plan.
  • 91% of the 366 residents who took part in the referendum voted in favour of the Longhope plan, which covers the whole of the parish.

The made plans will act as guides for development and use of land for the respective areas.

The formal decision statement as required under Neighbourhood Planning Regulations, is available to view on the District Council’s website www.fdean.gov.uk along with the full referendum voting figures and the associated documents.
