Six arrested following reports of vehicle crime in Cheltenham

 

Six teenagers have been arrested after police officers responded to reports of vehicle crime in progress in Cheltenham overnight.

Shortly before 1am a member of the public reported that two vehicles had been broken into in Ryeworth Road, Charlton Kings.

Officers attended and, with the help of a police dog, arrested a 19-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of theft from vehicles.

Shortly before 4am an incident was reported in Roman Road where a group of people had been seen trying car door handles.

Officers attended and arrested two 16-year-old boys, a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of vehicle interference.

All six are currently in custody.
