Two more arrests in Gloucester stabbing investigation


Two men have been arrested in connection with an incident which happened in Podsmead, Gloucester at the weekend.

The men, aged 39 and 40, were arrested yesterday, Sunday 30 July, on suspicion of wounding with intent and are currently in custody.

Police were called to Scott Avenue at about 12.30am on Saturday, 29 July, following a report of a stabbing.

It is believed that the incident took place in  the Keats Avenue, Burns Avenue and Scott Avenue areas.

A 34-year-old man suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital where is condition is said to be serious but stable.

Another man was also taken to hospital but has since been released.

A 41-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, who were arrested on Saturday in connection with a suspected linked incident in Podsmead some time earlier, have now been released under investigation.
