
Two teenage boys, aged 14 and 15, and both from Cirencester, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery. They have been bailed until 26 April while enquiries continue.
Police were called to Chesterton Lane in Cirencester shortly after 9.20pm on Monday (29 January) with a report of an assault on the forecourt of Shell petrol station.
It was reported a man had been attacked by a group of youths he had witnessed to be attempting to shoplift.
The man, aged in his 20s, said he was hit in the face with a pack of canned drinks causing him to fall to the floor. Two of the group then kicked him in the head causing facial injuries.
The group left with the pack of canned drinks following the assault.
