Arrests made by Cheltenham Neighbourhood Policing Team

Three people are in custody following pro-active patrols in the St Marks area of Cheltenham last night and this morning.

One person was arrested in connection with a burglary, a second person was arrested for a breach of bail and a third person was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

A police spokesperson said: “We appreciate that residents are worried about offences such as burglary taking place in the area and we would like to reassure everyone that we are taking this matter seriously.”

“The team feels that both the arrests and the recovery of stolen goods are significant in showing that we are acting on any concerns and we will also be offering crime prevention advice to inform residents of the signs to look out for and how to report any suspicious activity.”

The Neighbourhood Engagement Vehicle (NEV) will be in Monkscroft from 12-3 on Wednesday afternoon (24 Oct) and the team will be available to discuss any concerns or issues.
