Lakefest has today announced that pop icons Bananarama will headline Sunday night at next year’s festival at Eastnor Castle.
The legendary duo will close the festival on Sunday 9 August 2026, completing what organisers are calling one of the biggest line-ups in the event’s history.
Taking place from 5–9 August 2026 in the grounds of Eastnor Castle near Ledbury, the independent music and family festival will also feature performances across the weekend from The Charlatans, Madness, Example, Soul II Soul, Scouting For Girls, Bez, East 17, Reef, General Levy, Harleymoon Kemp, Woody Cook, Todd Terry, Seb Fontaine and The Entitled Sons, with more acts still to be announced.
Celebrating 40 years in music, Bananarama remain one of the most successful female bands of all time. With chart-topping hits including Venus, Cruel Summer, Love In The First Degree, Robert De Niro’s Waiting and Our Lips Are Sealed, the duo hold the Guinness World Record for the most charting singles by a female group. They have sold more than 30 million records worldwide and continue to perform to sell-out crowds.
Organisers say the 2026 event is shaping up to be a standout year for the festival, which attracts around 25,000 visitors annually.
Nestled between Wales and the Cotswolds, Lakefest is known for its welcoming atmosphere and broad musical appeal. Alongside 12 stages of live music, the four-day festival offers award-winning food, comedy, wellness experiences and a wide range of family-friendly entertainment.
Younger visitors can enjoy everything from magic shows, storytelling and beat-boxing to BMX stunt displays, wrestling, circus acts and the Kapow Gaming arena, while parents explore the main stage, house and funk arenas.
Festival organisers say Lakefest continues to focus on shared experiences, community spirit and an inclusive environment designed for all ages.
