A boy has been charged with murder in Worcestershire.
The 14-year-old male has been charged with murder and remanded in custody to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday 11 March.
The charge relates to an incident on Jinnah Road on Tuesday 8 March that led to the death of 53-year-old Ian Kirwan from Redditch.
Formal identification has yet to take place but Ian’s family agreed to publish his name.
On Thursday 10 March a further three youths were arrested in connection with the incident, bringing the total arrested to 11.
Three youths have now been bailed and seven released with no further action.
Redditch Asda has now reopened and Safer Neighbourhood Officers are maintaining a highly visible presence in the town.
