A brewery in Gloucestershire has announced its looking for 20 beer testers.
The unpaid position involves tasting a new range of beers brewed by Gloucester Brewery.
The official beer testers will be sent out packs of its new 500ml canned versions of Gloucester Brewery favourites Gloucester Gold, Dockside Dark, Cascade, Priory Pale and English Craft Lager.
All beers produced by the Gloucester Docks based brewery are being moved from glass bottles to recyclable cans.
Managing Director Jared Brown said: “Over the last few years, we’ve been testing the difference between bottled beers and canned beers extensively with the view that surely beer tasted better in a bottle than in a can? However, despite wanting to prove this hypothesis correct, when blind tasted, craft beer from a can did indeed taste better than from a bottle.
“Canned beer is better than bottled beer as it stays fresher longer as cans block out all light and oxygen from getting in. This is particularly important for our beers which are unfiltered, unpasteurised and live, meaning they pour naturally hazy and contain live yeast.
“It is also easier to transport and safer than glass and it is more environmentally-friendly being lighter in weight and more recyclable than glass.”
According to a University of Southampton study into drinks packaging released in 2020, 100% aluminium cans and regular aluminium cans were both found to have less of an environmental impact than glass bottles.
