Two people were rushed to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital from the traditional cheese-rolling races in Gloucestershire on Bank Holiday Monday.
The annual event drew thousands of spectators to watch competitors from across the world chase large wheels of Double Gloucester cheese down the hill.
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) confirmed it sent an air ambulance and five land ambulances to the event after the first race, at about 12:15pm.
A spokesperson said: “We were called at 12:17hrs on Monday 26 May to an incident at Cooper’s Hill, Gloucestershire.”
“We sent five double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, an operations officer, a doctor, a first responder and the hazardous area response team to the scene.”
“We conveyed two patients by land ambulances to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.”
No serious injuries were reported.
The event which dates back to the 1600s is unofficially staffed by local volunteers and residents in Brockworth. Participants who take part in the races – do so a their own risk.
