
Councillor Jane Horne has been re-appointed as Chairman of Forest of Dean District Council with Councillor James Bevan as her deputy.
Both councillors were voted into their new positions last night at the annual meeting.
At the same meeting Councillor Patrick Molyneux was re-elected as Leader of the Council for another four years.
The Chairman, ailment Councillor Jane Horne said: “I am delighted to have been re-appointed as Chairman of the District Council. It’s a great honour to serve for another year. My focus will be firmly on the community. I look forward to taking us through the next year and to further improve the Council.”
Vice Chairman Councillor James Bevan added: “I’m proud and honoured to hold the position of Vice Chairman and I look forward to carrying out lots of good work in the community over the forthcoming year.”
