The Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail is marking its 40th anniversary this year.
The outdoor art trail at Beechenhurst first launched in June 1986 and has grown into one of the UK’s most distinctive outdoor art installations.
Artists have created site-specific works inspired by the Forest of Dean’s landscape, history and environment.
There are currently 18 official sculptures on the trail, including Kevin Atherton’s stained-glass window Cathedral, one of the original works from 1986.
The trail is managed through a partnership between Forestry England and the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trust.
Visitors are being encouraged to support the charity’s work to help fund future commissions and community projects.
