A fundraising appeal has been launched following the sudden death of Phil Keene, landlord of the Lamb Inn in Mitcheldean, who leaves behind his young daughter, Charlotte.
Mr Keene had worked in the pub trade for many years and was known locally for his dedication to the communities he served. Before running the Lamb Inn, he also worked at the Haywain, the Brewery Tap and The Crown Wood.
Although his death was unexpected, his family said he had lived with epilepsy and other health conditions for many years.
In a statement, his sister said the family is now facing the financial pressures that follow such a sudden loss and hopes to raise funds to cover funeral costs and settle remaining debts linked to the pub business so their grieving parents are not burdened.
Any money raised beyond these immediate costs will be placed into a future fund for Charlotte.
The appeal has so far raised £3,568 towards its £6,500 target, with supporters encouraged to share the page if they are unable to donate.
