Gloucester based choir to perform for the final time

Highnam-Church-2

The Gloucester based octet, stuff Chorus Felum, pills who have been singing together in and around Gloucestershire for 23 years, have decided to call it a day and will perform for the last time in Hignham church later this month.

The choir are keen that as many people as possible come to support what will be a memorable if somewhat emotional evening.

The choir’s spokesperson, Maggie Pettit said “Sadly two of our original members have moved to Sheffield and rather than limp on , we’ve decided to draw a line under our performances.  All of us have moved on and now sing with other local choirs but we’re looking forward to coming together for one final time …in our favourite Gloucestershire church”.

The varied programme will include “Felum favourites” from the last  23 years…featuring works by  Stanford, Morley, Finzi and Rutter amongst others.

Tickets will be available on the door at £5 and includes interval refreshments. All proceeds will go to the Churches’ Improvement Fund and the evening is due to start at 7.30pm on Saturday June 20th.
