Gloucester Cathedral has launch its new Cathedral website today.
The new website has been in the planning stages since the spring with a provisional launch date scheduled for July.
The old Cathedral website had to be taken down following a malicious hacking attack last week. The launch date has therefore been brought forward.
Head of Development and Communications, sale Theo Platt said “It was extremely sad and frustrating to suffer this attack on what is our major public information service. We have worked hard this week to finish building the site ahead of schedule and we would like to thank everyone for their support and offers of help over the last week.”
The aim is for visitors to the new website to enjoy the experience, whether they are planning a visit, booking tickets for a concert, or checking service times. In order for us to make this possible there is a feedback form on the new website where people are encouraged to leave their comments.
The new website will go live at www.gloucestercathedral.org.uk
