Three Scouts from Gloucestershire have received one of the movement’s highest honours.
Tanwen Bird, Rebecca Marshall and Zuzanna Kula were presented with the prestigious King’s Scout Award during a special ceremony at Windsor Castle.
The award recognises outstanding achievement in young people aged 16 to 25, including community volunteering, expeditions and skills development.
The event was attended by Chief Scout Dwayne Fields, who praised recipients for their dedication and leadership, as well as astronaut Tim Peake, who joined in the celebrations.
The ceremony is part of a long-standing tradition, held annually near St George’s Day, celebrating the achievements of young people from across the UK.
Organisers say the award highlights not only what recipients have accomplished, but their potential to make a lasting difference in their communities.
