Gloucester Crematorium will host its annual Memorial Tree and Candle Lighting event this Sunday, providing a peaceful space for people to remember loved ones during what can be a difficult time of year.
The event takes place on Sunday 30 November between 10am and 2pm in the Crematorium Chapel, where visitors are invited to light a candle in memory of someone special.
From 1 December to 1 January, a Memorial Tree will stand at the chapel entrance. People can write personal messages of remembrance to be added to the tree throughout the festive season.
The crematorium says the annual tradition offers an opportunity for quiet reflection in a serene setting, supporting anyone who finds the Christmas period especially challenging following a bereavement.
