
Police are appealing for information following an attempted burglary at a Jewellers in Cheltenham during the early hours of this morning.
Officers were called to Bicks Jewellers on Montpellier Walk at 1.40am after it was reported that unknown offenders had tried to force entry.
It was reported that two men had used a hammer and thrown stones at a window to gain access subsequently causing it to smash.
Officers attended and searched the area along with a police dog but were unable to locate those involved. It is believed that they left the area in a vehicle.
Enquiries are ongoing and investigating officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone who was in the area and saw suspicious activity or lives nearby and has CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to contact police.
