Police can confirm that a young boy who was reported walking alone in the Abbeymead area of Gloucester this morning (Friday 3 October) has been located.
Officers had been searching for the boy, believed to be between four and five years old, following a sighting by a member of the public at around 6.50am.
The child has now been identified and is safe and well at home.
Police are concerned for the welfare of a young boy who was reported to be walking by himself in the Abbeymead area of Gloucester this morning (Friday 3 October) and they are asking for the public’s help to find him.
A member of the public reported seeing the boy at the junction of Abbeymead Avenue and Lobleys Drive at around 6.50am as she was driving in her car.
The boy is described as being around four to five years old with blonde hair and he was wearing light blue pyjamas.
Other members of the public then stopped to speak to the boy who then ran into some bushes between Lobleys Drive and Upton Lane.
Officers are currently searching the area and conducting house to house enquiries.
They are now asking anyone who may have a seen a boy matching this description or who has information on his whereabouts to call police on 999 quoting incident 45 of Friday 3 October.
They would also like to hear from anyone who believes their child may have gone out this morning but has now come home to call us to let us know they have returned safely.
