A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a collision in Gloucester yesterday (Monday 28 September) and police are appealing for witnesses.
Emergency services were called to Finlay Road at around 5.45pm with a report of a two vehicle collision.
The collision which involved a white and red Zontes ZT703-RR motorbike and black BMW X5 took place near to the St Barnabas roundabout.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 20s and from Gloucester, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with serious injuries. His next of kin has been made aware.
The driver of the car, a man aged in his 70s and from Gloucester, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by careless driving. He remains in police custody at this time.
Road closures which were put into place have since been lifted.
