Police are appealing for information to locate a man wanted in connection with an assault in Cheltenham yesterday (Monday 25 May).
Officers want to find 33-year-old Shane Walsh to speak to him in relation to the assault of a man and a woman in a property in the St Paul’s area of the town.
Walsh, of Brooklyn Gardens, is alleged to have entered the property between 1pm and 2pm where he physically assaulted a woman, causing bruising to her face and arm.
He is then reported to have assaulted another man with a knife, causing lacerations to his arm. The man was subsequently treated at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and his injuries are not believed to be serious.
Two other women, who are also believed to have been in the property, are not reported to have any injuries.
Police were called to the incident at around 9.10pm. The property was empty on police arrival, although the three woman and the man have since made themselves known to officers.
Officers would now like to speak to Walsh about the incident and are asking for information from the public to help find him.
He is described as being white, 5ft 6in in height, of a medium build, and with short brown hair. It is believed that he is in the Cheltenham area.
