Police are appealing for information after a man struck and killed a dog with his bike in Burrows Playing Field, Leckhampton, over Easter weekend.
At around 10.45am on Sunday 30 March, an elderly woman was walking her Chihuahua off lead on the grass alongside a path.
There was a brief exchange with a man cycling towards them before his bike collided with the dog, killing the animal instantly.
The man is described as being heavy and was wearing a black cycle helmet and riding a small bike.
Investigating officers are keen to talk to a woman who witnessed the incident and spoke with the dog’s owner afterwards.
Police are urging her to come forward as she may be able to assist with the ongoing investigation.
Other members of the public who many have seen what happened, have any information or mobile phone footage are also being asked to get in touch.
