Gloucestershire County Council has announced an expansion of The Robin bookable bus service from 1 November 2026.
The service will cover more communities across Berkeley Vale, the North and South Cotswolds, South Forest of Dean and the Newent area.
New locations include Frampton on Severn, Monmouth, Cinderford, Mickleton and Birdlip.
Unlike traditional buses, The Robin operates flexibly, with passengers booking journeys through an app, website or call centre.
As part of the changes, nine subsidised bus services will be withdrawn from 28 November due to consistently low passenger demand and high operating costs.
Affected routes include services connecting Cinderford, Monmouth, Newent, Lydney, Coleford and other rural communities.
The council says The Robin will provide an alternative for affected communities while helping make better use of public transport funding.
