A school employee has appeared in court accused of forming a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old pupil.
Leila Jackson, 43, from Gretton, Cheltenham, faces five charges of sexual activity with a boy aged between 13 and 17 while in a position of trust. The alleged offences are said to have taken place over a six-month period.
Prosecutor Sue Gethin told Gloucestershire Magistrates’ Court that the alleged victim was 16 at the time and that Jackson was employed at a local school, where the relationship is said to have begun. The court heard the relationship ended when Jackson resigned from her post.
Jackson spoke only to confirm her personal details and to enter not guilty pleas to all charges.
Magistrates sent the case to Gloucester Crown Court, where a hearing is scheduled for 7 November. She was granted unconditional bail.
