Shock as former Newent School teacher charged with sexual offences

newent

A former Newent Community School teacher has been charged with 21 sexual offences.

Thomas Ceri Boothe will appear at Gloucester Crown Court on April 17th.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between 1990 and 2014.

Parents and students have expressed their shock after a letter was sent home to parents last week after the former art teacher appeared in court.

The letter stated it wanted to make parents and students aware of the situation and reassure them.

It said a thorough investigation had been completed by Police. None of the evidence and charges relate to students at Newent Community School and there is no suggestions at all of any concerns relating to the school or Sixth Form Centre, viagra past or present.

The school said as soon the allegations were bought to their attention, drug Mr Boothe was immediately suspended and his employment terminated.

“Throughout the investigation the school has fully co-operated with all agencies, working closely with the Police and the Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board.”

“Given this is now a criminal matter and being dealt with by the courts, it is not appropriate for the school to comment further.”

Letter reported to have been sent home to parents.
