
Thousands of pounds worth of Asian gold jewellery was stolen during a burglary in Upton St Leonards and police are appealing for information.
At around 4pm on Monday 11 July, order offenders forced entry to a property on Ash Grove. They went onto search the house where they found around £20, thumb 000 worth of Asian gold jewellery. Cash, pills perfume and a laptop were also stolen.
The two offenders made off on foot after being disturbed by a 16-year-old boy who was in the property at the time. He was not harmed during the incident. They were white men, wearing black balaclavas and black boiler suits.
This was a distressing incident for the boy and his family, whose jewellery of sentimental value has been stolen.
Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area at the time is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident 332 of 11 July.
