The A38 at Whitminster is closed to due to a serious accident.
The road has been closed between A419 (Fromebridge Mill) and turn for Eastington (Cambridge).
Affecting traffic from the roundabout for the Fromebridge Mill along to the Hill Top Garage junction.
Gloucestershire Police say a woman was hit by a car while crossing the road.
She is in a serious condition and is being taken to hospital by air ambulance.
