Treddington Crash: Injured cyclist has died in hospital


The cyclist who was injured in a collision in Tredington this morning has died in hospital.

The man, who was 50-years-old and from Tewkesbury, suffered serious injuries when his bicycle was in collision with a Ford KA at about 7.30am.

He was airlifted to Southmead Hospital, Bristol where he died earlier this afternoon.

Next of kin has been informed.

The driver of the KA , a 22-year-old woman from Cheltenham, was not physically injured in the collision

Roads in the area have been closed for most of the day but are now open.

Police are continuing to investigate the collision, which happened near to Tredington House at about 7.30am (not Tredington Primary School as previously reported) and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it.
