Wet and windy weather will slowly clear from eastern areas this morning, with skies brightening from the west, and the generally blustery winds slowly easing.

A calmer, mostly dry afternoon will follow with sunny spells. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

It will stay dry during the evening with lighter winds and some lengthy clear spells. Overnight, cloud will slowly increase from the west, with further rain reaching Cornwall later. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Wednesday:

Early brightness in the east will soon fade as wet and windy weather sweeps across the region once again from the west. A cloudy, windy and damp afternoon will follow. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Wind and rain on Wednesday night should clear to a drier, though cloudy day on Thursday. Friday looks fine with warm bright spells. Thicker cloud returning on Saturday. Lighter winds.
