A new partnership aimed at supporting military veterans has been launched at Blackbridge Community and Sports Hub.
The hub, operated by Freedom Leisure, is now working with Rugby for Heroes, which will use the site as its new home.
The charity supports serving and former members of the armed forces as they transition to civilian life, offering both financial and personal support.
As part of the partnership, a series of courses have already been launched at the hub, including a programme that gives participants a recognised rugby coaching qualification.
Organisers say the collaboration will create new opportunities for veterans while strengthening the hub’s role as a centre for community wellbeing.
Rugby for Heroes will also use the site as its office base moving forward.
