Woman and girl in serious but stable condition

 

A woman and a child suffered serious injuries following a collision on the A46 in Northway yesterday.

A Nissan Note and Mitsubishi pick-up truck collided head-on at around 3.35pm. A Ford Fusion was also struck in the collision.

The driver of the Nissan Note, a Tewkesbury woman, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

An eight-year-old girl who was a passenger in the same car was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital but is due to be transferred to Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Both remain in a serious but stable condition.

A six-year-old boy who was also a passenger in the Nissan was treated at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and has since been discharged.

The other motorists involved in the collision suffered non-serious injuries.

The road is due to reopen shortly following a serious collision investigation at the scene.
