YMCA Cheltenham appoints two senior leaders

YMCA Cheltenham has appointed Nick Jermyn as Head of Housing and Barbara Williams as Head of Development and Engagement.

Nick brings almost 30 years of experience in social housing and will oversee the charity’s housing services, helping residents develop skills and move towards independent living.

Barbara, who previously held senior fundraising roles at Read for Good and Age UK Gloucestershire, will focus on partnerships, fundraising and raising awareness of the charity’s work.

The appointments come amid growing pressure on homelessness services across Gloucestershire.

YMCA Cheltenham says it provided more than 101,000 nights of accommodation last year, supporting 652 people, including 133 children and young people.

The charity says the appointments will help it expand support for vulnerable people and families across the county.
