Firefighters spent over 11 hours tackling a barn fire in Stroud yesterday.
Two fire appliances from Stroud community fire station were sent to the incident, look shortly after arriving the incident commander requested a further two appliances to assist.
One appliance from Nailsworth community fire station and one from Painswick community fire station were also mobilised to the scene.
The incident commander confirmed that a seven bay dutch barn containing 20 tons of straw, cheap 20 tons of wood, one tractor, and one car have been severely damaged by fire. The fire fighters used three jets of water to extinguish the blaze.
