Gloucester – Armistice Day – Thursday 11th November 2021
A short short service will take place at The Eastgate Shopping Centre at 10:45am with a two-minute silence at 11am.
Gloucester – Remembrance Day – Sunday 14th November 2021
Gloucester City’s Remembrance Day service will begin at 10:50am at the War Memorial at Gloucester Park.
The Mayor of Gloucester will give a reading before the Last Post and two-minute silence at 11am.
A parade will take place at 11:58am from Constitution Walk to Gloucester Cathedral.
Cheltenham – Armistice Day – Thursday 11th November 2021
There will be a short service including the unveiling of two names recently added to the War memorial, Corporal Francis Howard Pargeter, Royal Berkshire regiment and Labour Corps and Pioneer Joseph George Mitchell, Royal Engineers.
Representatives from the Royal British Legion and families will be observing the two minute silence at the war memorial on the Promenade at 11am.
Cheltenham – Remembrance Sunday Ceremony – 14th November 2021
The war memorial in Cheltenham’s Long Gardens on the Promenade will once again be the centrepiece for the town’s service of remembrance and civic parade.
The service will begin at 10.50am and a lone trumpeter will play ‘The last post’ before two minutes of silence at 11am, honoured by Cheltenham’s Mayor, Cllr Steve Harvey.
After the Reveille, the service continues with prayers, hymns and the national anthem, played by Cheltenham Silver Band.
The mayor will lay the first wreath at the war memorial followed by other civic dignitaries, including borough and county councillors, and representatives from local organisations. After the wreaths have been laid, there will be the colourful parade and march past, the civic party watching from the dais in front of the Municipal Offices.
Tewkesbury – Remembrance Sunday Parade – 14th November 2021
Tewkesbury’s Remembrance Parade will commence from Sun Street at 9.20am.
Stonehouse – Armistice Day – 11th November 2021
There will be a short service on the Memorial Green commencing at 10:45am. A roll-call of the names on the memorial will be read, with a two minute silence at 11am.
Stonehouse – Remembrance Sunday – 14th November 2021
People are asked to gather at the Memorial Green before 11:50am. The service will begin at 12pm to include a one-minute silence and the laying of the commemoration wreaths at the memorial.
Stow-on-the-Wold – Armistice Day – 11th November 2021
An outdoor service will take place in Stow Square at 10:15am.
Dursley – Armistice Day – 11th November 2021
A wreath will be laid at the World War 2 memorial at the Pavilion at 11am.
Dursley – Remembrance Sunday – 14th November 2021
A parade will leave the Bus Station at 2:30pm and marches via May Lane, Castle Street and Silver Street. Parade stops in Silver Street outside St James’ Church, about turns and marches into Long Street.
At 3pm, a service will start at the Memorial Gates outside St James’ Church.
