A man was arrested on Thursday evening in Tidworth on suspicion of drink driving and possession of drugs.
Officers on patrol spotted a grey Mercedes with the manner of driving causing them concern on the A3026 in Ludgershall and after a short pursuit, the vehicle stopped on Silbury Hill Avenue.
The driver, a man in his 20s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving when above the alcohol limit, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, failure to stop, possession of class A drugs, possession of class B drugs, and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
He was taken to Melksham Police Station where he remains in custody.
