Firefighters were called to a milk tanker on fire on the B4215 just outside Dymock yesterday.
Two appliances, capsule one from Newent Fire Station and one from Ledbury Fire Station attended the incident, illness using one main jet and two hosereels to extinguish the fire which was believed to have started in the breaks of the trailer unit.
The quick thinking lorry driver had managed to detach the trailer from the lorry preventing further damage to the vehicle.
