The A38 Cole Avenue in Gloucester has been closed southbound due to an overturned vehicle.
Police said the route between Tuffley and Kingsway is currently closed heading towards the M5 after a transporter carrying a van overturned on the carriageway.
Nobody is believed to have been injured in the incident.
Drivers are advised to find alternative routes at this time.
